State Bank of India has become the first bank to install an ATM at Drass in Jammu & Kashmirs Kargil region, to serve locals as well as soldiers guarding the frontiers in the countrys coldest inhabited place. This is the banks 27,032nd ATM and is located adjacent to the Kargil Vijay Dwar, amemorial to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in ensuring our armed forces re-occupied Tiger Hill (Pt 5353) in the 1998 war with Pakistan.
